ARound is built privacy-first. This explains what we collect and how we use it. What we collect: your profile (username, optional bio), your location while using the app (to show what's nearby), items you save/RSVP/join, Moments you post, and device info for notifications. How we use it: to power discovery and recommendations, coordinate hangouts, and send notifications you opt into. Genesis (our assistant) uses your visible context and saved items to help you — it does not read your private messages. What we DON'T do: we don't sell your data, we don't show your precise live location to other people, we don't post or message on your behalf, and we don't infer sensitive traits. Location: your exact location is private. Public maps show only public places/events — never live people pins. Where presence is shown, it's coarse and only with your consent. Your controls: Profile → Privacy lets you control what's shown, block users, and manage what ARound remembers. You can request data deletion (see Data Deletion Request) and exercise the rights in Your Privacy Rights. Sharing: we use service providers (hosting, maps, notifications, email) under agreements that limit their use of data — see Service Providers & Subprocessors. We disclose info if required by law. SMS messaging: if you opt in to ARound Business text messages, we use your mobile phone number and messaging consent to provide the operational notifications you requested. Message frequency varies based on account activity and your notification preferences. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Mobile-information non-sharing: ARound Business Corporation does not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in data, or messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Service providers that help deliver messages may process this information only on our behalf and only to provide the messaging service.
